RCIA sessions begin Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Lounge. The initials RCIA stand for
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is a time for persons who are interested to come and learn about the Catholic
Church and its teachings.
The sessions include time for prayer and sharing information about the Catholic Church. Time is provided for questions
from participants about specific Catholic practices and questions that may arise from aspects of the Catholic Church heard
in the media.
The RCIA is a process by which persons come to understand what it means to be a Catholic. Stages are marked
by community celebrations that serve as transitions throughout the rite.
